Catalina-Marina del Rey Flyer Policies
WHARFAGE FEE: Fares will include a $2.50 wharfage fee (a fee for using the dock) at Avalon and/or Two Harbors, for each disembarking or embarking passenger. We collect these fees for the City of Avalon and for Two Harbor Enterprises and remit the fees to them. For example, a round-trip from Marina Del Rey to Avalon (or Two Harbors), includes a $2.50 fee to land at the dock at Catalina (disembark) and $2.50 to leave Catalina (embark), for a total of $5.00 per round-trip. For an intra-island round-trip between Avalon and Two Harbors, the wharfage fee would be $10.00 total. We also collect taxes and fees for LA County and the CPUC. All taxes and fees are included in the ticket price.
FUEL SURCHARGE: Fares may also include a California Public Utilities Commission authorized temporary fuel surcharge due to the high cost of fuel.
BAGGAGE:Each passenger is allowed two bags, up to 70 pounds each, plus one small carry-on bag. Bags that are 75 to 100 pounds will be charged a $15 excess weight charge for each leg of the trip. Bags over 100 pounds are not allowed. For odd or oversized baggage that meets the weight requirements, please call 310-305-7250 to inquire about odd/oversize baggage fees. Bike, kayaks and surfboards will be charged an additional fee, and do not count against the bag limit. Divers may bring one scuba tank at no charge that will not count against the bag limit. Flamable or dangerous items may not be allowed on board, please call in advance for more information. Each bag must be clearly labeled with the owners name and telephone number, and unattended bags are subject to search and seizure. Catalina-Marina Del Rey Flyer (Sea Planes, Inc.) assumes no responsibility for damaged baggage.

DELAY AND CANCELLATION POLICY: Catalina-Marina Del Rey Flyer (Sea Planes, Inc.) assumes no responsibility for delays or cancellations due to weather/sea conditions, mechanical failures, passenger safety, or other events out of our control. No compensation will be given for delayed boats as a result of the above conditions. Passengers choosing another form of travel, in lieu of waiting for the delayed departure, do so at their own expense and risk. In the case of cancelled runs, tickets will be honored on next available departure, whether on that day or following days. Delays for reasons other then the above will be handled on a case by case basis.
TRAVEL WITHOUT A RESERVATION: We strongly encourage reservations so that we can hold a seat for you - we do sell out on busy days. If there are seats available we will sell those seats on the day of travel, however any ticket purchased on the same day as travel will incur a $5 "walk-up" fee.
VOUCHER TRAVEL
